Almost a Year

I really can't believe that next week is Keely's first birthday; this year has flown by so fast. Everyone tells you how fast it will go by and even if you believe them, you don't really understand. In the past month Keely has practically started running, she doesn't like to be carried anymore since she can walk by herself. Keely also likes to give hugs and kisses, says thank you when you give her something but still isn't a good sleeper and hasn't come close to sleeping all night.

Keely also moved up to the Centipede classroom at daycare a month and half ago and had to to go through many changes. She drinks out of a straw cup now (no more bottles), eats regular food now even though somedays her daily report says she only had peaches for lunch. It has taken awhile but she has slowly adjusted to only taking 1 nap.

Yesterday I signed her up for a gymnastics class that starts July 25th. Next Thursday is her birthday and on Friday we are heading down to Birmingham for her party at Homewood park. This weekend we will have a small party for her to enjoy with her Charlotte friends. We are looking forward to both weekends to spend time with friends and family.

Hilton Head

We recently went of vacation to Hilton Head for a week. Unfortunately we only had 3 days of nice weather but we still had a great time. Keely loved the beach and the water. She also started walking while we were there. She is growing up so fast. She has started eating regular food now and carries around a doll with her where ever she goes. Baptism

We have been a little behind lately with posting pictures.

After a long 2 months of ear infections Keely got tubes last week and her ears are doing much better.

Right before surgery

April 11 she was baptized at St. Johns in Charlotte.

She also loves to swing.

Since Keely moved up to her new class at daycare she has been crawling, standing and is close to taking her first steps alone.

This month has flown by it seems like it was just Christmas. Keely is almost 6 1/2 months now and growing up fast. She has started pulling herself up to stand.

Here are some other random pictures from this month. Keely has been posing for the camera now which makes taking pictures a lot easier.

Keely has always loved bath time so we decided to take to the pool last Saturday. She really enjoyed her first swim. She even put her face in once.

It also snowed last week and Keely's daycare was closed unfortunately Anil and I still had to go to work so we didn't get to play.

The weekend after New Year's we went down to Atlanta to have Christmas again! Keely was feeling much better. We also went to have some family photos made.

We had a great time in Birmingham although Keely was pretty sick Christmas day so it cut our trip a little short. She did have fun going to church and opening presents with her cousins Joe and Josh.

We are heading down to Birmingham today after work for Keely's first Christmas. She will get to meet Eva for the first time and hopefully we get to see other friends and family while we are in town. Last weekend we went back to Asheville to go to see the Biltmore house. We had a great time and made it through 2 floors before Keely decided it was time to leave. Here are some pictures.

Keely enjoyed her first Thanksgiving. Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. Even though she was not feeling well she still had a good time.

After 4 days in Daycare Keely got her first cold on Saturday and is still at home.

Sunday she dressed up in pumpkin outfit and we went to the pumpkin patch.

I had to start back to work on the 8th and Keely had her first day at daycare on the 14th. Ga Ga kept her for few days which helped me transition back to work. Luckily it was more traumatic for me than it was for Keely. She is the youngest in her class right now which means she gets a lot of attention. She seems to like it pretty well and is adjusting quickly. I have a lot more time now that I am back at work which is why I have finally updated this for the first time in a couple of months.

The First Trip down South to B'ham

We had a packed weekend when we down to Birmingham. First we went to Joe's soccer game, met Lee and Henry, had dinner with Jennifer and Travis, had Keely's first photo shoot with Joe and Josh, went to Crystal's house to meet up with friends and watch the Bama game, and finished it off with Joe's 7th Birthday.

Keely's First Trip

Keely's first trip was to Asheville, NC. We went to the Biltmore Gardens (which she slept through while I carried her in her sling)

Then we had a picnic and she enjoyed laying on the blanket with Anil and kicking her feet.

Keely's first Bama game was a memorable experience. She was excited all day and had a great night. She will be asking her uncle Kumar for a Mark Ingram jersey. Also thanks to Clemson she won't be scared of "thunder and lightening". Roll Tide!

Keely finally got to meet her other cousin Josh. Josh is going to be a big boy. Big Papi has already negotiated a deal to be Josh's agent once he goes pro. Big Papi will be recording Terrence Cody footage for Josh to watch one day.

The start of football season is less than a month away so Keely dressed up in her vintage Bama shirt and posed with Big Al to celebrate.

She will be 3 weeks on Wednesday and I can't believe how fast it has gone by. She still hasn't quite adjusted to sleeping at night but she has a few good nights mixed in with some bad ones.

Time does fly by ... Keely is already one week old. She is starting to settle into a routine. During the day she sleeps, eats, and poops and at night much of the same with a lot less sleeping. Anil has started back to work today but Ga Ga is still up here helping out. We also want to thank everyone for all the flowers, gifts, visits and prayers.

The countdown has begun...

I am now 37 weeks and I am close to popping. The parking lot attendant asked if I was having twins yesterday. So I am starting a pool of when you think I will deliver. My official due date is July 23.
